Got a text saying red landcruiser seen photographing horses on Cross Lane in Blidworth tonight - have made OH go out to check the surrounding area now! Even though this may be a hoax let's all stay vigilant.

Has anybody said what these men look like?

hi, the original text that went round said the men had eastern european accents thats as much as anyone knows i think, there does seem to be a lot of hype regarding these men theres several texts doing the rounds all with different vechicles im not sure what to belive anymore dont get me wrong i think theres some truth in it but i also think these stories are being exagarated, i rang notts police the other day and told them about the texts i gave them the reg no of the white van that was given in the texts and they said the vechicle is not of interest to them and they had heard nothing of these potential horse thefts so unless somethings changed since the week end notts police are oblioious...chris

I have received a text yesterday saying " Silver van drivers arrested to trying to steal a horse at West Hallam"

Can any one confirm if these are real as i have horses on a field very close to there and am getting extremely worried as i have a coloured cob mare and irish sports horse gelding.

Any information will be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Emma

I live in huddersfield......and the red land cruiser was seen photographing horses from a stable yard down the road from us. Then at about 7am this morning, a man with a beard in a yellow van was photographing our horses. Our yard owner went down in the JCB, but he had gone.It could have been nothing! It is very worrying.....but people have to stay vigilant. Horses from the Derbyshire area seem to have been stolen also. They seem to be going for coloured cob types.
A woman on our yard is a police officer and she said to look out for a white van with the reg N253 XAJ.
This is all stuff I have been told, who knows what is true. It can get like chinese whispers. But I dont want to take the risk of ignoring any of it!!
