are spurs allowed at prelim dressage?? my mare can be slow off the leg and i fing spurs allow me to give a much quieter aid, but was wondering if i can compete in them, thanks.

Yes, you can use any spur apart from one with rowels on. If they are BD rules.

Of course correctly fitted and not upside down, that is they have to slant down wards and not inwards.

Rowels are permitted under BD rules, but with "rounded points" - if that's not a contradiction in terms.

However Riding Clubs, and Pony Club especially, most likely will not permit amy kind of rowel - even the smooth disk "pizza cutter" style.

I cant understand why rowels are not permitted, used correctly, they are much kinder and do not mark the horse
