Great news, hope he makes a full recovery. Just looked at the date he went missing, how long was the poor lad in the cess pit for ?

4 days in the pit
Left a message on Facebook to make sure he gets antibiotics--the ''bugs'' in the pit could be a real ''cocktail''
I really hope he recovers OK
Depends perhaps if he could reach vegetation what state his gut is in

the people who came to take our trailer left the gate open when they fled and our horses had been left to run free, including Austin. Austin had fallen down a cess pit in the garden of a derelict house very close to the field. He was up to his belly in muck and water and jammed in! he didn't make a peep and because he was below ground level and because we didn't even know that cess pit existed he was only found by a gardener this morning. The fire brigade managed to knock down the walls of the pit and get Austin out. He is shaken, and cut, with a high temperature, but he's home and he's alive

I do hope he will be OK awful to think he was there for four days. A friend in Scotland had a similar experience his cob fell into their septic tank, but was rescued quite quickly. He did recover but was a bit lame for a while.
