There is so much to feel sad about ATM and it would be easy to feel rather depressed so I have banned any "negativity" apart from listening or reading to the news for limited periods. OH is definitely struggling to find something to talk about but he's trying. Well, I had a lovely hack today on my gorgeous Mr D. The sun was shining, he was as soft as butter, super contact and we marched along enjoying the stunning views out to the Cotswolds in one direction or to the Malvern Hills in the other. His owner said that she'd schooled him yesterday and that I was doing a great job as he worked beautifully for her. I was so pleased. A year ago I wasn't sure I'd ever ride again but I am so grateful to
edit. have the chance to continue riding and on such a lovely horse. I urge everyone to count their blessings.

Thanks for sharing, that sounds wonderful. You must take a photo for us next time! I've stopped watching, reading or listening to the news since about day 2 of the invasion (I pick enough up without going look for it). I also had a good hack out, I've really struggled hacking alone since my disastrous last horse destroyed my confidence, but today my very honest cob and I crept down the drive for a teeny little 4km hack across the valley in the sunshine. We were both rather wobbly and anxious and he almost fell over his own feet when a hare jumped out, but by the end we were both feeling much happier and had a good long canter back along a fantastic wide margin with nobody else about.

I'm so pleased you've had such a good year, your share and his owner sound just great.
