Hey guys
Some of you may remember my ponio who had to have a full penile amputation in January... Wellll... He's back in full work again
! He still has a lot of pent up energy (I wont be the one taking him for a gallop to get ride of it, I quite like living
) but it's less than when we first started. We're now back to doing walk, trot, extended trot, collected trot, canter, extended canter, collected canter, shoulder ins, leg yields, canter-halt; everything we were doing before the op
!
He is still very unfit and is panting heavily after 30 minutes BUT he's back to his old self
We'll start competing again in April starting with Easter Fest here in SA and then a week or so later Riders Fest (hoping to be one of the top Juniors in ranking - It's extremely ambitious and unlikely looking at the lovely imports that we have to compete against, but it's worth a try
)
Here are some photies
(sorry for the horrible quality, my 12 year old brother took them and doesn't know how to focus a camera
):
(below: a bit behind the vertical, protesting the fact that we have to remain in an orderly trot
)
and just because...
