Another week it seems another ban.

I hope the ban is enforced, so many people seem to receive bans and then ignore them. It seems a shame if the RSPCA had advised him in the past that they were not able to monitor his care of his animals and prevent this mare getting to this stage.

I think if you look at how many complaints of cruelty are attended each year, then add to that check ups for all those attendances where advise has been given you'd have a completely unmanageable workload........ At a guess you'd need around 3-4 times the current number of field staff! :( Not something a charity is likely to be able to afford or manage, and that number would increase each and every year to include all the new 'advise' attendances!! At the end of the day, the RSPCA shouldn't have to check up on everyone. If this owner was given advise, then he knew exactly what was required by him. He chose not to do that. The fault here lies with the owner.......
