Ooh, bay roan? He's strawberry roan (main colour) in Summer and Winter and bluey roan in Spring and Autumn.

no check his leg v's in the pic of him trotting towards you :) (and head)

generally/historically in the UK strawberry = chestnut roan and red roan = bay roan. Which is why it's easier to stick to base colour + modifier.

Thank you. I don't think I've ever seen a cob with his colouring (particularly in the show ring) I have seen a couple of plaiteds who had a lot more white.
Can't wait to get him into a show ring (for various reasons, mostly my health, I've had him 3 years from 2/3yo but finally almost ready then Corona :()
