Hi folks, I will try to get to the point. My horse is never going to be 100% sound. Currently recovering from an abscess which is taking ages. Meanwhile a horse comes to stay at our yard temporarily but is for sale. Owner kindly allows me to ride him as they are busy hence why they are selling and mine is unsound. So long and short of it is I am contemplating horse number two in my life!
Never ever thought of having two especially as there is no room at our lovely yard for another to be stabled, just plenty of grass at the moment.
My cunning plan is to retire my boy at another yard where a friend keeps her two retired ponies and keep new boy where the great hacking is.
All seems very straightforward so far! Problem is I am scared! worried about travelling back and forth to two yards, not giving either of them quality time.Would have option of help at both yards but really want to do it just not sure
I think I may ask for a LWVTB if the owners will go for it then I could trial the thing. I would be able to do allsorts with the new fella, dressage show bit of jumping... So tempted.
I am a till death do us part owner so selling either of them once they are mine is never an option. I guess that's what makes it so daunting. Thanks for reading.
