Hi all, I had posted the other day about what should be done about a body protector after a fall where it has been impacted. For those interested the reply I got from Champion today was as follows.

Body protectors like safety helmets absorb the energy involved in an impact by partial destruction of its cover, protective foam or both and much depends on the severity of the impact during the fall.Body Protectors will degrade over time and should be replaced after a periodof 3 - 5 years depending on usage and condition.Without inspecting the body protector I cannot give you an informed opinion except that if in doubt you should replace the protector with a new one.

Thanks all
