As to how Ludo has managed to split a tooth in half like this ? This is the front of it -the stuff around the bottom is gum.

Discovered it last night when attempting to put his bridle on and he backed away sharpish. Looked in his mouth to find it hanging out still attached to quite a bit of gum. Vet called out and snipped it off but she says half the tooth is still there and the root is exposed
He'll have to go up to the surgery to have the rest of it removed.
There's no indication of a kick to the outside of his mouth/face.. I'd have thought if it was a stone it'd have chipped the top rather than the whole length of it so any ideas how he's managed to do this
