Hi all,
Just wondering how much people would be willing to pay for my 5 yr-old chestnut mare...
She is wonderful to do in every way, happy to hack out on her own/company, canter's upsides, jump logs, ditches etc... She is 16hh, lightweight hunter build (bone-wise). Her flatwork is comeing on very well and is able to maintain her outline in walk and trot, canter transissions are a working progress but she can and will maintain the ouline after a stride or 2. She has done all RC events, hunter trials, sj, dressage, showing etc and has either won or been placed in every outing, 4th at bakewell show in her first affiliated showing class. Has just completed her first BE90 event, dressage of 39, pole down SJ and clear XC. Snaffle mouth at all times, entered for BYEH 5 yr class at Bramham. clean legs, slight dishing whilst moving but generally quite a smart mover. She has an excellent attitude, never mare-ish and good to do with everything! Jumped upto 1m25 at home with plenty of 'engine' left. Happily jumping 1m courses at the moment, so would BSJA. Extremely bold but safe XC. I do make it sound like she has done alot, but she has been brought on very slowly and carefully!

Thanks all for reading, any opinions would be much appreciated!

Hmmm - difficult one, she does sound lovely but also as you said, to a buyer, it sounds like she has done an awful lot in a year or so (assuming she was broken in and then bought into work as a 4 yr old)....I would say around the £5K mark as she is young and as such would be sold with excellent potential rather than a solid record. (But then I a show person and the dishing would usually put her out of serious contention for higher level showing).

she does sound lovely.

Thanks for the reply. She was bought to event, so the dishing doesnt really bother me, and it is very slight. I can see what you mean though, but her flatwork at the moment isnt good enough to do pure dressage affiliated, and she's not flashy enough to show at the top level. The bit of showing she did was just part of her education and to get her out to a busier environment.
She was broken in and turned away, started again last March as a 4yo, but we did pack a lot in admittedly!

Your value was around what I was thinking so that's good! Thanks again
