Last week a friend of mine lost her 3 year old Flatcoated Retriever to Anti-Freeze poisoning. She lives in the Plymouth area. We think that Sky ingested the Anti-Freeze whilst out on a walk as it has been repoted that anti-freeze laced bait has been deliberatly left out to kill certain wildlife. Poor Sky was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Animals are very attracted to anti-freeze as it tastes sweet. We are therefore asking everyone to sign the following e-petitions. They are asking for legislation to have embittering agents complusary added to anti-freeze.

We need 100,000 signatures to make the government consider the proposal. please cross post
Many thanks for your help

To be compleetly honest I'm not sure exactly where Sky picked up the anti-freeze. I do know that Mary uses a lot of National Trust land for her walks, so its probably worth playing safe for a while. Mary is campaigning hard and will be seeing her MP and the Kennel Club. She feels strongly that Sky's death shouldn't be in vain

My friends cat died this winter and the vet said they had had a few in and had it on their paws and of course cleaned themselves and that it's because anti freeze is being made a lot stronger.

I am so sorry your friend lost her dog in such awful circumstances it must have been heartbreaking.

I have signed the petition and shared on face book and perhaps you might want to put it on other dog forums like pet forum community, dogsy and horse gossip on the dog section,
