Its a hormone drug type thingy, its meant to work like regumate but this in injectable and lasts about 3months, Its widely used in Oz, so im told.
But as the list of replies shows no one has heard of it!!!!
GnRH is the hormone that stimulates the release of FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) and LH (Luteinising Hormone). FSH and LH are key contributors to the oestrous cycle, by stimulating follicle growth and ovulation.
The idea of the vaccine is that the horse forms antibodies to GnRH, so instead of being released and stimulating LH and FSH release, GnRH is mopped up by antibodies. This stops it working, so LH and FSH are not released, and follicle growth and ovulation does not occur. Essentially stopping a mare from coming into season.
OP: Anti-GnRH vaccine is only licensed in Australia, so could only be used in this country with a Special Import License from the VMD (Veterinary Medicines Directorate). The VMD will only issue these licenses if there is no suitable product available that performs the same purpose. As Regumate effectively does the same job (albeit by a different mechanism), I think it is extremely unlikely they would issue a license to import it from Australia. Without a license, the import and/or use of the product within the UK would be illegal.
