My horse Sam has always head-shaked every summer.
About a week ago he started with a very snotty nose and then on Tuesday he presented with a hot lumpy rash (think hes eaten/rolled in something he's allergic too). I brought him and gave him pirition on Tuesday evening (which cleared the lumps & bumps by the next morning) and I gave him some more piriton on wednesday morning, just in case!
The snotty nose also cleared up - but it was back yesterday. So i am presuming the snot is to do with pollen etc. (I've never had his headshaking 'diagnosed' as such becuase up-until now its always been perfectly controllable with a nosenet).
Anyway. Can I give anti-histamines full time or will his body gradually develop a resistance to them?
