I've been using Skratch Plus for 6mths and it has worked well, but now the pony isn't so hungry she refuses to eat her feed with it in. Can anyone suggest another supplement that isn't as strong smelling and works????
Equidermis from Feedmark is excellent. Also on offer at the moment. Really worked on Cairo and gives a wonderful glossy soft coat.
If your mum's shire has itchy legs, may well have mites. Try spraying with some frontline, rub well in and repeat 10 days later.
Good old fashioned pig oil and sulphur is excellent for keeping heavies legs in good order - I use it on my clydesdale and gypsy cob and previous hairies as prevention against grease and mites which causes the itching.
