Actually the Lupi rubbed all the hair off from under my dog's chest and carved a big X across his chest, he was pulling so hard into it - just for balance
Went back to a leather lead and a flat link choke chain - mostly on the dead link, lots of circles, going backwards, directional changes = pulling means you go nowhere, walking on a loose line means you go forwards.
Also feeding from my pockets (taken out of his daily allowance of his food, no extra) to encourage him that being with me is fun and means food.
A device is a device which masks the behaviour and does not get to the root cause. Try encouraging your dog to walk beside you by incentivising yourself.
But a headcollar may also work. Make sure your lead is a good one, nice long leather line or training lead, if the dog is on a Flexi, bin or drawer until he learns to walk on a loose line!!!
I second the canny collar, was good for my big strong Inuit. Don't like halters as seem to ride up and annoy them. Although in truth nothing beats training the beasties to walk properly!
Gentle leader headcollar- is fixed so they cant get it off and does not ride up- but you still have to train em to walk next you you- just saves shoulder dislocation in the process!
