anti slip pad 'sandwich'

this is a question following on from my earlier post about arabs and cruppers.
does anyone use a prolite anti slip pad inbetween the saddle and numnah to stop their saddle sliding forwards ?
my saddle slides but the numnah stays put, the info on the antislip pad says you can put it between the two.
any comments, good or bad, on this pad would be great.

Don't know about the prolite one but i use a stephens gel-eze on my mare, i dont use a numnah though as she doesn't like them. My saddle has never moved while using it, even when i was thrown off and got my foot stuck it the stirrup, all of my weight was in the one stirrup and the saddle stayed in place.

UUmm I use a gel-eze and although it's good the pony is such a barrel that it always rolls. The only thing that I found has helped is that I had point and balance straps fitted to the saddle; that has really improved things

Well, I had never heard of gel-eze till last weekend when they were recommended to me by a top level showing person. She included one with the horse and he is very round - so I really hope they work!

I use a Barnsby grip pad, it's a numnah with a non-slip surface underneath and it works brilliantly. Obviously you do not need another numnah with it.
