Blinking Antifaz has an INFURIATING habit of making a mad break for freedom when he's had a few days off and I'm lunging. He seizes his opportunity as soon as he hears me unclip the lunge rein to change sides.... You'd think I'd be ready for him by now, and in fact I WAS, but I'm no match for 500kg of chestnut brawn and he got away from me AGAIN, but this time with my 6mth old saddle on his back... I nearly wept when I saw him charge under thorny trees, snapping twigs and branches with MY saddle....

It looked pretty scuffed up when I finally caught up with him.
He then did his best to make up for it by jumping beautifully though I'm not sure I entirely forgive him for the saddle!!!

Would he stand still if you clipped a lead rein on the other side while you were swaping over?

Sorry about your saddle.

What about sticking him in a dexter ring bit for a few times, have lead rope on ring before swappign lunging sides, I'd imagine he'd not piss off through a chiffney?

Or what about a swivle clip so you dont have to change the line over at all? It basically two clips one goes to each bit righ with a swivle clip attached in the middle under the horses jay that you clip the line onto?
