Hi. My boy is in a Kes working hunter saddle, it's about 2 years old and in good condition. I mentioned to a friend that I'm thinking a GP might be more useful for me as I have long legs on a small pony, and she suggested I swap her for her Antill GP, which is also about 2 years old and in good nick. Presuming that her saddle fits my boy (which will obviously be checked) would I be getting a good deal? I can't find much on google about Antills to try and work it out!

No offence to your friend but I wouldn't touch one of the new Antill saddles with a bargepole, these have the red studs.

The old ones are super saddles if they've been well looked after. These have an A in a shield stamped on the flap, someone posted a picture of one earlier asking what make it was.

Ditto the above. I had an Antill 25 years ago, it was an excellent quality saddle, the reason you cannot google them is that they are no longer made. The new Antills around now are copies, made God knows where, they do indeed have a red stud, and they may even have the A stamp on the flap, but the 3 girth straps are all attached to one piece of webbing and they are not safe.

Ah, that's awkward, it does have the shield stamp but I think it has red studs as well. Will check for that before I agree to anything then, thanks for your help
