anxiety problems

Newbie here just wondering if anyone here can suggest anything to help me with one of my horses when i take my older horse to shows my youngster gets in a right state. I arrive back home to find him sweating and that he has wrecked his bed from box walking water knocked over and feed and haylage not eaten !!

there's noothing you can really do to prevent separation anxiety. maybe take youngun along too? or leave it with other companions.

provide the horse staying at home with a stable full of safe toys and treats/lickits etc to try and keep him company. Leave a person at home with him to put him at ease. Even have a little pony on loan to try and get over this anxiety issue.

Are they always turned out together? If so then it would be a big change on show days. Could you practice leaving young horse in alone sometimes while other is turned out? Or hack older horse for progressively longer rides so young horse gets used to being alone for short sessions gradually getting longer as he gets his confidence?

Have you thought about a stable mirror? Get them on Ebay I think.
