Hi,
So my 3yr old GSD refused to eat anything on Monday. I often work nightshifts so I'm always back when he gets his breakfast although I step in and off to bed so OH feeds him.
Due to a family bereavement I left at 8pm Sunday and it was after 9pm Monday that I got home.
All through Monday, OH gave him his food - we had meat in jelly instead of gravy - so he bought the normal stuff, tipped the original food out, gave him the new stuff and dog wouldn't even sniff it.
I got home, told of the concerns, pointed to his food and he wolfed it down. Although, if I left the room before he finished it, he came with me. I went back to kitchen and he finished it.
Is there anything I can do to entice him to eat, or to reduce this anxiety? I can leave for an hour and he stays beside me for a while and whines, whereas OH can leave for several hours, come back and dog goes up to him, nudges his hand and will happily go back to sleep.
Any advice welcome.
