My tbred gets really anxious if he can't see the other ponies when he's inside or out in field. Anyone got any ideas please to try to alleviate the problem.

my tb gelding is the same as was my tb mare (both ex-racers), i have to say in the end with my gelding i ended up having to get a companion - little welsh sec a - unfortnately due to different needs for grass they are not in the same field but are side by side and he is soooooo much better. Trust me i tried all sorts but in the end this was the only way - not too costly just need to make sue his feet are regularly done wormers etc but lives on fresh air! He is the little one in the middle on my signature!

Hope you get it sorted soon i know how heart breaking it is to watch them get upset. Good luck

I personally think all horses should have a companion! Can you really blame him for being upset especially if he cant even see another horse?! Horses are herd animals, they're simply not meant to be kept on their own. Shetlands make brilliant companions. Failing that, cant you simply turn him out / stable him beside another pony?
