Hi , wonder if someone can help me and give me some advice . I had my
Horse who is a tb for around five year, he’s always been a bit anxious and stressed but since I move about a year ago now he one minute settle the next he galloping around the field which he’s hurt himself a few times now and he getting very restless in the stable if no one’s in . His behaviour had changed massively and wondered if anyone know of a calmer I can give him . I had him on placid for about a month and never saw a difference.

What’s his turnout time and routine? What’s his feed? What’s his company? What’s his workload?

It's not a calmer you need, it's a better solution to his whole management.
It's very hard for any horse to be in alone. Is he in the field with other horses?

He sounds like a candidate for 24/7 turnout. That did wonders for my two that were like yours.

They also need buddies. I don’t think you need a calming supplement but mag is a cheap thing to give. If he’s deficient he will calm down so cheap enough to try for a month.

He individual turn out as since moving to the new yard he was herding them and people were getting a bit funny about it but at the old yard he was fine individual turn out . Will try mag and see if that helps .

From what you've said, if the behaviour escalated when you moved yard it sounds more like a management/ routine change is needed to get you back to what he was like at the previous yard rather than a calmer. Do you know why he finds the new yard more stressful?

See, BB likes his own space, he likes to chat over the fence but not in the same field 😕

Sounds like he needs a gut balancer not a calmer but will support in the same way.
horses need company, even if in a separate paddock he needs to be able to see other horses.
The change and management is whats causing the anxiety.
what is he being fed? What’s his routine? How much ad lib forage is he getting and how much work is he in?

The lay out of the stable yard is different it’s like a old cow barn so it all open and can see 360 degrees so I’ve had to put a board up at the back of the stable as the left side he get raved up and start head popping and resting as he could see the gate . Field wise he can see every other horse which is similar to the other yard apart from the field are a lot fast so when he does pick up speed he just can’t stop 🤦‍♀️

Started to try and ride him or lunge him most day . He use to be able to leave him in and not ride him in a while and be fine . He has excess to hay out in field and can have as much hay as he wants in field . At new yard was first winter being turn out 8-4 as at old yard was no winter turn out he was there four years and didn’t seem bothered . He had two month off in December as he went easy in field and rotated pelvis has vet and physio out dealing with that and pain been ruled out .
