took my boy out hunting today for the first time (me and possibly him - not sure if hes ever been before) anyway needless to say he was very well behaved and i loved it!!
would post photos but was too busy enjoying myself and forgot to ask my groom friend to take any

but im looking for a bit of advice, when he jumps he tends to go into a very deep outline so landing usually consists of him yanking the reins out my hands (doesnt bother me but isnt very comfortable) i dont mind if this is just how he jumps i can get over it, but i found out today he also does this when galloping meaning he leans on the bit and then just ****s off and i cant hold him at all
hes currently ridden in a 2 ring gag for jumping/fast work with a martingale and just a normal cavason noseband (throws his head around in a flash)
so what im asking is, is there anyway to get his head up?? for instance a different bit? he is strong (for me anyway) so perhaps something similar to a gag perhaps a pelham?? or is this going in the wrong direction? he mouths the bit beautifully and i dont want to make his mouth hard but i also dont want to be pulling his back teeth out
if his head is up i can hold him no problem.... just need to get it up!
any ideas welcome will swap for the new fabulous chocolate fingers if ur quick enough
