he he was expecting a pure arab.. hes nice looking for the breeding!

id like to see him working longer and lower, and lengthening hes stride, i know hes action is different with the andi in him but he needs to stretch out more, which will also get that backend working a huge amount better.

Are you looking to buy this pony?

LOL - when I first saw the vid I thought he was dun and was sure that you don't get dun arabs!

But I see now he is grey!

I think he looks exactly just 4 and just backed, quite hard work and would have been nice to see him relaxed a bit more. I think there is a lot of work to do on this young horse yet.

At the end of the video I noticed he wasn't tracking up but haven't bothered to rewind and look out for that earlier on.

I think he will make a super pony for someone once the work has been put in

we are going to view him tomorrow, rider looks heavy handed in video, so could that be why not stretching.
T is looking for a project as she is leaving school this year and has all the time to put work in

just be aware he may grey out, also 3k for a fully papered hispano is very cheap.. would also question why the need for a neck strap.

I would question the neck strap too. Yep, good idea when backing youngsters but if it wasnt ness, why leave it on for a video? Looks a bit tense and not using back end enough for my liking. Looks far better when the rider gives him a long rein which would maybe question the rider? Nice looking horse though. Defo worth a look!

I actually like it, I think it will be much nicer when in greys out!!!

tbh it looks pretty good for a recently backed 4 year old!!!!!!

Bless his canter transition, he seems pretty willing though

although doesn't look overly quite ha ha!!!

I think it's worth a look!!! You can only improve!!!

I think it would be a nice project, although I would let it out in the field for a month to settle as looks a little tight then take it slowly, let it stretch down and learn to relax when ridden ect

Tbh I wouldn't worry about the neck strap!!! it a just backed 4 year old ha ha!!! you never know what could happen making a video or not!!! and I'd rather have that there just incase instead of clinging on to the mouth!!!

xx

Good luck, hope it goes well and keep us updated

Just to note though that if the pony has been used to a heavy handed rider he may not immediately respond to a lighter rider and will need time to readjust. Don't be surprised that if he is suddenly given his head that he takes advantage!

I was going to say the rider has harsh hands to say he's only just backed. Yeilding to the pressure for just backed horses to be in an 'outline'

He's lovely though, i love hispano arabes. Nothing glaringly obvious about his confo or movement apart from looking tense through the back but i would be too if someone was holding my head in like that.

I don't like the way he's being ridden, so expect to do a bit of remedial work if you'd like him "softer" and working more correctly. He looks very nice though. He may well end up very grey, even white, that's what happened to my pink Arab.

Agree, he will most definitely grey out.

I would not be worried about the neck strap, he is a just backed 4yo and many people put them on as a matter of course.

I actually think that £3k is a little pricey given his size, being only 14.2. £2.5k seems a fairer price given the economic situation.

Nice little horse though and very very spanish

Exactly what the others have said, would say they have 'winched in' the front end far more than I would if he is just backed....possibly that why he isn't quite tracking up on and off all the way through the video. But he is ever so pretty and I think once he engages the back end will have very nice paces (araby, but then I like that

)
Let us know how it goes!

PS I wouldn't worry too much about the neck strap, sensible precaution on a youngster IMO - I certainly don't ride mine without martingale/neckstrap/breastplate/oh sh*t strap!!
