Any building surveyors out there? (not horsey unfortunately)

Any building surveyors want to point me in the right direction of some causes of defects?! My lecturer is away at the moment and I have an assignment to do but nobody to ask!

On a 24 storey office building, in-situ reinforced concrete (completed 1974):
1.Outward bowing of the majority of Carrara marble external panels, particularly in the vertical direction.
2.Buckling of brick slips away from edge beam and bowing out of outer skin of brick cladding.
3.Damp patches occurring around edge of floor slab and positions of some corbel plates supporting the stone cladding panels.
4.Warping of timber windows resulting in opening lights being difficult to open, signs of wet rot and water penetration around perimeter of infill panels.

I'm pretty sure I have 1 and 2, and just started working on 3.
