any cat lovers felt this way???Loved a cat you cannot have???

Being a foster I knew there would be cats that touched me hard and others not so. I knew the cats were only temporary here while they found new homes.(except when I was getting my K & L.)

Having lost my beautiful Kassie last year August just before my beloved mare, no cat that has come in since has reminded me or have the trait Kass had till Tia came in a few months back. Now I just showed a lady Tia and the other one which came in with her. To a potential new owner and it hit me"hard" I want her. I cannot have her, hubby said last year and still says NO MORE!!!!. I feel I am loosing Kass all over again. Its hurting so much

It must be so heartbreaking for you. Such a shame that you cannot keep her, but try to hold onto the fact that you have helped so much by fostering her.

Just heard back that the lady wants them both and is having their home check tomorrow

It is sad as they will leave you soon, but a good home for the cats is a good thing really.

I feel for you - some animals do capture your heart and it sounds like this little cat has done that with you. That's the risk with fostering, but it's such an important role that I hope this experience doesn't put you off fostering in the future. You are doing these cats such a good turn by fostering them till homes are found.

Nothing will put me off fostering been doing it since 2006. I know how much of a difference I make with all the cats that come through. Some have touched me and left their mark through illness I went through etc. Its just Tia is so like Kassie
