Anyone aware of any decent, well run, unaffiliated events up north/ north east?

I believe the pony club run an event at Hexham the week after the BE event over the BE course.

don't know if north enough but i think skipton have some sort of PC event too... might be wrong tho...and cumwhinton?

The Hexham one is an open event. I think the Cumwhinton one is a PC area thing only Could be wrong though as way too old for PC

Yep Hexham is definitely open (run by South Northumberland PC) and Cumwhinton was PC areas but it's no longer held there .

As above, please specify in these posts as usual people mean England but UK-wise, its North Scotland!

Presume by North/North east you're looking at Yorkshire side as opposed to Lancashire/Cumbria so prob best to try the following

Northallerton Equestrian Centre do unaff ODE's
Camp Hill (Eleanor Mercer Equestrian) normally have one
West Of Yore PC have one just outside Lightwater Valley
Helen Bell Equestrian
Skipton normally have the PC Area Horse trials and run open sections, check Pendle Forest & Craven Hunt PC for details
Harewood Combined Training Group website as they normally have one too

Can't think of any others at this moment in time, but plenty to go at there, would also suggest checking PC websites too

Richmond Equestrian Centre run some one day events but not sure what heights, also there's some indoor stuff there over the next couple of months as well . I don't think Foxberry run one day events but they do run some hunter trials. Todburn is another place to check as well.

If you find which pony club area is close to you then just keep checking on their websites as they often run open things .

Alot of NE England events are advertised on the DLT photography site. I know there is an unaffliated ODE on 19th June at Gloucester Lodge as well.

there is a good one on at titlington they used to run BE's so is well run with great ground , i wouldn't waste my money at gloucester lodge as there ground is always rock hard (i wouldn't even have done dressage on it at there last ODE it was that bad ) and there timing/scoring is erm interesting ,shame really as its a nice course

There is a nice ODE at Streetlam near Barnard Castle nice well maintained course, fairly hilly well run to my knowledge. Think 2'6, 2'9 and a bigger one? Usually in May
