I tried this in Soapbox but have had no replies so far so am trying here.

Anyone live near Chelmorton or Hartington?

I am going to Chelmorton for the weekend with family (self catering) and wonder what the village pub is like for food. We want to eat out on saturday evening and sunday lunchtime.

Or any recommendations for good food nearby?

The Church Inn in Chelly does fantastic food, but you will have to book as it gets pretty busy.
We go there far too often! We live in Flagg, so watch out for the black haries.

I don't live up there but I am from Derbyshire and know the area, I've never actually made it in to the pub in chelmorton, it has great reviews and looks really nice but they don't open all day (so I've turned up a few times and it has been closed!). So check their opening times and book if you want to eat to be on the safe side!!!!

You'll have a lovely time up there, it is a nice little village.
