Right...have a viewing this week on my house..so mad dash buying a few finishing touches, if anyone is bored, please can you help me find a decent but not bank breaking rug for my front room? It will be sitting on oak wooden floor, newly laid, I have a dog...so athough I like cream to match the rest of everything, dog included, am being sensible, so really needs to be natural/light beige or oaty colour..would possibly consider a light creamy coffee(steady on the coffee tonnes of milk shade!) It needs to be plain with no patterns, but I am keen on depth of texture/mixed texture/pile etc and modern/contemporary but simple...the ideal colour I guess would be dried muddy pawprint colour!!I don't want to spend over £100, 60 ideally, and the size-rectangle, approx similar size to a king size or double bed ish or roughly 3ft x 6ft but prob not larger than 4ft x 7ft .....just wondering what anyone might come up with....thank you:-)xxx

Not everyones cup of tea I know....but I got two huge rugs off eBay not long ago. They were almost brand new and I paid about 40 quid for the two. Might be worth a look to see what is about?

Try Dunelm Mills. Bought a really smart one a couple of years ago. Still looks like new and wasn't expensive at all

Thank you both...I'm a little bit too grinny for words....just logged on to find these two excellent suggestions..which I will have a look at as have had an extremely good find day...so now have more budget to blow on rugs for anywhere that I can find one to suit..went to b&q to get some black stove paint..and found a wall of rugs & rolls..had a flip thru the ones on display & found a few i liked, but nothing that really grabbed me..only one in a gorgous deep clarety colour, but would be too dark and make the room small so I went to walk away feeling a bit sad(it was such a gorgeous colour,in the elegance style but could not justify it) anyway...something made me look up and there almost as high as the ceiling was a corner poking out of similar looking ivory rug...went to hijack a random unsuspecting staff member who had to find 4 others who then had to figure out where the only one in store allowed to drive the cherry picker type buggy was hiding..they get the rug down and it was PERFECT..slightly light reflecting too and already tested it out with muddy paws..not the slightest spot!!was originally £129 but I was offered it for an amazing £30!!!!!!! and just as i was at the cash desk, the man noticed a funny bit which has since steamed out...:D and reduced it a further £10! I have one incredibly big grin,my dog is loving it and total bill including stove spray was only £26.99.....now I'm thinking I ought to get the claret one and roll it up for viewings!.....thank you v much again can blow the rest on another one!:-) Don't you just love bargains!!
