Can anyone recommend any really good hoof supplements for hooves which are prone to dryness and cracking?? Have used farriers formula before, which was ok, pricey i suppose. is there anything else anyone finds fantastic?? thanks x

Kevin Bacon is fab. You can get it in either a feed supplement version or a hoof dressing version that you paint on. Both are brilliant x

I do use Farriers formula (I know its pricey but does last a long time) and naf hoof moist - you can also get a hoof strengthener for when they go soggy and crumbly.

Equimins Hoof Mender has a money back guarantee. My horses' feet are Ok, but I have used Kevin Bacon's dressing in the past which is great stuff

Have had excellent results on typical crap TB feet with Blue Chip Original, even my farrier who swore blind you couldn't feed to improve feet noticed the difference and asked what I was feeding. Just remember that whatever you feed, you won't see the difference for many months!

Farriers Formula with Kevin Bacons dressing or Ketarex work fantastically well. Expensive but cheaper than replacing shoes every couple of weeks!!

Equine America Hoof Power... I asked my farrier the last time he shod Hannah whether he thought there was a difference (was fully expecting him to say no!) Unfortunately, he said he could see a real difference in the quality of new hoof growing so I have to keep buying the bloody stuff now, LOL!

This subject is close to my heart as both my horses had crap feet! The supplement I used was Hoof Power Plus by Equine AMerica which I was impressed with but now even better, Falcon Feeds have brought out a feed called Fibre Care which is a low energy, high fibre feed with Hoof Power Plus in it (!). Saves me in supplements as now on feed on which is about £7.50 a bag and even my farrier is impressed with the growth we have been getting and the overall improvement.

Kevin Bacon foot dressing is also incredible in drier months for help keeping mointure in the feet.
