Any experience of pulled muscle in quarters?

Hi,
Anyone had experience of bringing a horse back after a muscle injury in the hamstring area? I've had my boy restricted in a pen, which although he was dead quiet didn't seem to be doing much good. Got him in his stable now for a couple of weeks.

Hopefully start him walk him out again next week. You can feel a lump in his quarters behind his hamstring and he only shows lame on a circle with injury on the outside. Keen for it not to heal short.

Any do's and don'ts for the weeks ahead?

If you havent already, get a good physio to treat and give you exercises to do with him.
