Any farriers? (or farriers wives?)

One of Olympics feet seems to be growing alot more then the other, as far as I'm aware this wasn't picked up on and therefore not addressed at his last shoeing (last week)......Not that I can blame them for missing it, he was trying to take apprentices out left right and centre

so they just trimmed and put shoes on as best they could.
Now as a result he has one big foot and one small foot in front

what could be causing one to grow more than the other and is there anything I can do to help the small one grow a bit more?

Probably a completely different thing, but my pony had an abscess at Christmas, which appeared to have cleared up. We noticed a few months later that one front hoof appeared longer than the other. A few weeks later he went lame again and was found to have grown a false sole and had pus between the two soles.
Has your horse had an abscess to make this a possibility, or any other injury?

My warmblood/tb has one front hoof larger than the other, and it's just the way he is. The farrier is aware, but had never pointed it out to me until last year, because he assumed I knew. I am not exactly observant, so had never noticed, although once pointed out, it was fairly obvious!

Maybe it's just the way yours is too? Perhaps my boy has one big warmblood hoof and one little tb hoof!
