As the title says really. I am in the process of getting Fred a near perfect fitted saddle but I also think a gel pad would be beneficial too. There are quite a few out there on the market. Which is best??
I was recommended prolite gel pads by my saddler. They're not to flexible nor to stiff, are lightweight, machinewashable and very discreet. I now use it under my show saddle instead of a numnah.
I have Mark Todd Accupressure pad. Only comes in one size so looks a tad big on my large NF pony. BUT!!!!! It has sorted out alll her issues, she moves freely in it, there are no signs of rubbing and the sweat is wicked away...does exactly what it says. Another good thing...no messing about with sticking together numnah and pad, its all in one...and tried all the others on the market first.
