Hi

I am in desperate need of a new HW rug for 13.2hh pony but what with Christmas coming up and everything I just don't have a lot of cash to spare. So are there any half decent cheapies that anyone would recommend? I know it'll probably only last the season but its all I can afford at the moment.

Thanks

I find that shires are reasonably priced and fit my boy very nicely too. He has had his for a few years now and only reason it isn't used now is because I have replaced it with a Fal now that he is an oldie and he wanted treating :)

I have also bought some requisite rugs from Robinsons for my yearling and he's not started wearing them but I was surprised by how nice they were. I was only looking for cheap rugs as he won't be in them next winter and none of the horses are the same size as the rugs.

Ebay!! the best place to by cheap rugs. I've kitted my 4 out in Rambo rugs- which in my opinion fit better, are more resiliant and easier to fasten. New the rugs are between £100-250, but you can easliy pick a turnout up for £40. I look at it this way, because they keep their value, provided the pony doesn't destroy them, you can get your use out of them and then put them back on ebay. An investment buy!! I get mine professionally cleaned and they are are good as new. Have a look x

I have to agree with the ebay suggestion. I picked up a new (wrong size bought by the seller) Rhino pony tunout wug for half the shop price.

I only have the ones he came with which seem to be between 5'3 and 5'6 depending on make

But he's 13 2 and quite slim if thats any help

Thanks
