Soooo, its mine and my boys 3 year anniversary next month and my lovely boyfriend asked if we wanted a present (aaw

) So hes having a sparkly browband for his best bridle and im wanting a new stable rug.

Now, as some already know, i have the coldest horse on the face of the earth.. a summer breeze makes jack shiver. Last year I invested in a Rambo Jumbo Wug (550g) one and its excellent! He went through the coldest spell of UK winter with that and a full neck horseware liner and his legs wrapped.

Having experienced a scandinavian winter before, Im preparing for the worse at this point and am wanting one more really heavy duty stable rug. Not necessarily to wear with the other might i add! But i like to keep options open should one need washing etc.

Does anyone have the full neck godolphin with the silver lining? Any thoughts on it? Particularly im interested in how people rate it in terms of keeping their babies warm in winter, the fit, whether they think this silver stuff does ANY good at all (im figuring it cant hurt if anything else

) and also whether the neck of the rug rubs away the base of the mane.

Finally - anyone tried their stable boots?

My boy has all 4 legs wrapped in winter.. I alternate between the equilibra stable wraps and a pair of magnetic wraps, but i REALLY like the look of those boots

Thanks in advance for any input!

Can't help on the rugs (having got hardy horses) but just wanted to say that is really sweet of your boyfriend, and you are going to have the cosiest horse ever

Have to say I'm a bit sceptical about the claims of the silver - lots of padding and layers might be just as good

We use the Fal silver lined Viking rugs, and they are fantastic. They are really heat efficient. Don't know about the Godolphin specifically, but love the others. We use them with the detachable neck covers and to date haven't had any problems.

Haven't used the leg wraps, we use the Thermatex cordura covered ones in winter.

I unfortunately had a BAD experience with the goliath silver interactive rug!I was in same boat wanted to spend a decent amount of money on a rug,and thought at £400
