Hi,
I have just got my hubby a nice welsh cob x she is 10yrs old and has been out of work for a yr or so will thats what I've been told so now I need any help to bring her back as when she is out she like going round and round not just one way but both I have had horses all my life but I've never had to bring a horse back in to work so if there is anyone out there that can give me any help or tips they will be most WELCOME.

It sounds like you are saying that she is napping badly, but to be honest...the issue is irrelevant. What this is is a case of being overhorsed. Both you and your husband need to send this mare away to be restarted or have an experienced person come to you to do it. Trying to do it yourself when you have no experiment of this is never a good idea. X

Cobs tend to have a bit of an attitude, and will test their boundaries, especially with an inexperienced rider. Try to build a relationship with the horse on the ground first. Lead the him out in hand (without a rider) and if possible with another horse. If he starts napping and goes round and round in circles let him, if he starts to back up, then keep him backing up. He will soon get bored of this, when he realises he's not in control anymore. It's not a quick fix as with most things equine. This horse may have other issues as well. Professional or experienced help should always sort though.
