Heya I'm new here!
I'm just wondering if there's anybody else out there who feels the same, or has any advice?
I'm a new mummy, I have my own horse + have worked breaking, schooling, exercising everything from show jumper to point to pointers + I teach! + I have my stage 2!
But since my daughter was born I'm finding it so hard 2 get out + get back to the level I was at!
I don't drive + can't get my licence back for another year and a half, my partner works full time and I work so its stressin me trying to fit everything in and having to long of gaps out of the saddle. Anyone with any advice to keep me sane?

What livery are you on? Full/part/diy? How far is the yard away from home? Can u get a sharer? What about lunging the horse if you don't have time to ride? It just takes time. Don't be to hard on yourself u will get there :).

I rent a field beside my house, my biggest problem is I'm in the country and spend the most of the day with a 7 month baby! So I don't have anyone to stay with her till sunday. But thanks for saying it'll take time, its a big change and a shock 2 the system trying to adapt!

Hi, I don't have children but my friend is in a similar boat to you.
Her daughter is 5 months and she is busy looking after the little one all day and also because it's dark early, she is unable to spend time with horses until weekend (when daddy watches daughter). Even then, she can't stay away for too long etc due to breast-feeding. Her ponies are in a rented field - 2 miles away in country but she does drive.
She's been in the saddle once, since before pregnancy (3 weeks ago) and she was very nervous etc by herself.

She's found it a big shock to the system as well and says that she'll just take each day as it comes. I wouldn't worry about the level you were at, but just see how things go and just do what your currently happy doing. :)

Mishaspey thank you so much for that! In a strange way its nice to know someone feels the same as me!
Especially about the nerves bit! I had a realy bad fall from a youngster in my 3 week of pregency, before I fully knew, which left me very sick but thankfully all was well! But made me think I was nervous because of that!
But thanks I think I will stop trying so much, and work on enjoying the few times I get out more!
Best of luck to your friend aswell!
