Any horse feed nutrients/vitimans an calculators out there?

I'm in the process of changing my horses feed to a non grain/molasses feed and whilst looking and researching on line And deciding upon what feeds will suit her best. I want to make sure I'm feeding enough vits and nutrients too. Whilst each feed site it recommends what to feed I want to use feed from different companies.

Is there an independent calculator out there that has a list of different feeds, there nutrients and vitimans that I can use to tot up exactly what is going into my horses feed. Then I can use that in conjunction with my hay analysis to make sure I'm feeding the right amounts. Thanks in advance 😊

I'm afraid there's nothing out there that will cover all different products. The best thing to do is probably to make up your own spreadsheet and enter the feeds you want to compare (and list the various nutrients at the level contained in the recommended daily dose). This is the type of thing you pay a nutritionist for, so I'm afraid it either takes some time (and reading up on things) to do it yourself, or you have to pay someone to do it for you.

This is a calculator that tells you the minimum daily requirements of energy and nutrients according to the NRC Nutrient Requirements for Horses publication. You can enter your horse's weight and work load to get an idea what nutrient levels to aim for. It doesn't include anything on feeds though.

The Phoenixhorse forum has a thread where members have posted either lists of ingredients for various feeds, or even links to their own spreadsheets comparing various feeds and supplements. This might be a good point to start digging, but be aware that some of the info may be out of date or incorrect - no guarantees.

I've used ****** in the past. If a product isn't on there then email them and they will try and get the details from the manufacturer.

Not sure if its quite what you're looking for though.
