I realise it's a little way off yet but I am trying to plan in advance with the impending winter looming.
I am hoping to go to visit family for a week over the Christmas period. In the past, the horses have been able to live out.
Last year, at the last minute, I was made to feel like they couldn't stay out after all, so I had to run round like a blue ars*d fly and drop it all on a couple of friends a day before. I really don't want to put said people in the same position again, but at the same time, I don't want to spend Christmas on my own down here, eating a Pot Noodle!
I have tried Kirsty's Horses but will wait to hear back. Just wondered if anyone knows of any reliable people in the area willing to muck out 5 horses for 7 days?! :-/ I could possibly ask someone at the yard to turn out and/or bring in but it's the mucking out/hay/water that I'll be stuck on.
Not holding out much hope but hey, you can only ask after all.
Horses will all have mangers, rather than nets and be on wood pellets so it will literally be taking the poo and wet patches out each day and I will do a full muck out when I get back.
