I have some Peter Storm wellies and they have lasted ages. I've heard mixed reviews about hunters, some last ages, others perish quickly.

Tbh I wear my Rydale Malham's now for everything and find them much more comfy than wellies and a hella lot cheaper than dubarrys!

I have hunter Balmoral wellies! They are brilliant, neopreme lined too so they are much warmer in winter. But are more expensive than the standard hunters.

There are lots of neoprene lined around if you want extra warmth. Muck boots are fab - they don't last as long if you ride in them though - my first pair that I had I rode in - they lasted about 2 years. My last pair which I didn't ride in - but wear everyday for turnout/mucking out/dog walking etc (I live on a farm so they get a lot of use!) have lasted nearly 4 years and need replacing as I have worn the sole away - but not bad for £50!!

Hunters are ok if you get the right ones. Now the original and huntress are only really suitable for fashion - the sole is terrible.

The hunter balmoral is a good boot however and you can get it with a bamboo carbon lining which is better than neoprene as it doesn't get hot in the summer.

but my recommendation is toggi. They do a lovely ladies boot for around £40 with neoprene lining. The sole is small so safe to ride in, but I've never slipped in them. Had mine for over a year now

Have given up on Hunters, every pair I've had has split after only a few months, Dublin Yard Boots the same, so I'm sticking to my £10 dunlop wellies with 3 pairs socks in winter!
