Any idea when my horse will stop growing?

It says on his passport he is 17.2hh but I had a feeling he was a bit bigger, I measured him today and he is just over 17.3hh!

He is 7 in July.

Does it look like he is finished yet??

A few friends were saying I can expect another couple of inches on him when his topline improves and that he may grow until 8 or 9 with him being WB x ISH. Luckily OH is about 6ft 4-5 !

Doubt you'll get any more inches - but you will certainly get a much more physically mature horse by the time it's nineish. Plus had all the TLC that you are obviously going to be giving it.

Good I dont really want any more inches, he does look 'young' still but I know warmbloods can be slow to mature.

i think he might make another inch by the filling out prosess and when his muscle defines, most larger horses mature about 8 on average, a friends 5/6 year old id/tb has grown 2inches in the last 4 months of her owning him. bought as a 16.1, and now measuring as a 16.3/17hh. it looks like he has a good bit of muscle to develop!
