posted in vet's but no activity....
My 4 year old has an abcess between the arms on her lower jaw - she is eating well, no temp, no discharge, no smelly breath, and is well in herself, I have hot poulticed it and will be speaking to the vet tomorrow - but wondered if anyone else had had to deal with anything similar??
 
hmmm that's what I thought.....I have poulticed it and squeezed it and it doesn't worry her.
 
hum strange one my first thought was its exactly were jazz had her's when she had strangles but without any other symptoms i wouldn't have thought it was that. i would suspects something has worked its way in causing an abcess, i would just keep doing what you are.
 
Would be highly unlikely, she hasn't been off the yard in nearly 2 years and has only been in contact with maisie, and no temp, or other symptoms - will ring vet tomorrow and see what he thinks...he loves my ponies and their odd pus filled lumps - remember when may had that abcess in her lady bits
