New pony has an old injury to coronet band where it's assumed its a wire injury. Lumpy bit of proud flesh above the coronet band, and then a bit more stretching around the side. There's also a crack in the hoof resulting from this.
Will ask the farrier to put a bridge on the crack, to try and get the hoof growing properly again. However, can anyone come up with any suggestions of how to tackle the proud flesh on the coronet band? The injury is approx 3 years old, and was never dealt with when it occured.
