occasionaly (maybe once or twice a fortnight) my gelding is a pain to ring in. not really his fault, there is an overhead power cable as you come thru the gateway to the fields. sometimes it randomly zaps/clicks a few times, think its when it touches something. he is absoultly terrified of it, dont blame him as he cant see or hear where its coming from. but he totally freaks out, would never bolt but he literally loses it. he clambered all over me few weeks ago in sheer panic and pretty much broke me toe! once we get passed it or it stops he's fine again albeit a little freaked out. its very random, tonight i stood for a few mins before i got him in and it sounded fine, then i got him, brought him through and it started zapping and he freaked out, real struggle to stop him blind panic and bolting. entry gates are kept shut, but this almost makes it worse as he clambes over it (or tries to!) to escape the zapping. no other way out of field. all the other horses dont bat an eyelid at it. he's fine with normal elec fencing. shall i just hope it doesnt happen often or should i try de-sentitze him in some way?? he's normally a total gent
