Talking about the space above the breast partition in a 3.5ton rear facing horsebox: I need to find the best way of creating a 'wall' above the [solid] breast bar without actually making any holes or permanent alteration to the lorry itself. Someone suggested straw bales but I need to be able to sit in the grooms area and be able to go through the little jockey door.

There is a high up ring on each side for hanging haynets but not much else to hang anything on.

As it's for travelling a foal on it's own I don't think it needs to be particularly strong, more of a visual barrier really, as I don't want him tempted to jump into the grooms area!!

When I've travelled the foals in a float with just a breast bar I've used a large tarpaulin that I fold over the breastbar tie to the bar with baler twine and weight the bottom with a bale or two of hay - heavier than straw bales. I also put a deep bed of straw on the floor too.
