I'm feelin quite honoured, really! I've just been asked by the manager of our local saddlers if I would be willing to come up with a design to paint on the front of the shop! It's right on the road, so would be seen by anyone who drives past

At present, the wall is simply painted mint green, so I have free rein as to what I can do on there!

The manager has no real idea or preference over what she wants - she's given me a free rein, so to speak!

Now, I'm thinking that because it's a saddlery, I should design something more equestrian equipment based, as opposed to an actual horse jumping/galloping/grazing etc. My current idea is to paint a saddle, rosette, bale of hay, hat, pitchfork etc on a Witney blanket - lots of colour, and it would depict all the different things that the shop sells! Another idea was to paint a giant snaffle!

But any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Dya know I did actually think of Thelwell! It would be very cute, wouldnt it! Might sketch one out quickly; can give the manager the choice then!

i would keep it simple, if im driving past something and an ad is too busy i dont have the time for the ad to sink in as to what its advertising. but good luck with it
