Could it be abit of sunburn ? Mine has photosensitvity on her socks & it looks abit like this, but not as flakey

no idea, but i would give it a good clean with hibbi scrub and slap on a bit of un perfumed moisturiser- vit e cream/vaseline.

Horse at my yard gets it from time to time, sometimes itchy, sometimes it doesn't bother at all. Doesn't cause pain or swelling, so we just use Vaseline or green oils to stop the skin cracking
