Guess the injury!?
We noticed this on our GSD this afternoon - its on her right rear leg, just below her hock.
Its almost like a little lump, but it lifts up and is attached at one end. Below it is like a clean hole (not bloody or weepy) and all around it, is furless! We first thought "tick!!!" but the lump is almost white and there is clear skin growth at the top of the lump - is it possibly still a tick?
We then thought maybe a little fat cyst - she's very 'lumpy' in her old age anyway, that she's maybe caught and its come away? Just odd that its so clean. We put some cream on her and it obviously hurts, bless her.
She did go over on her hindquarters this afternoon (chasing the baby starlings... at her age, I ask you!!) but this was on plastic grass so I cant see anything having cut her then?
Any ideas welcome!!

If you saw this on a horse you would be thinking sarcoids, given his age and history I would take him to the vet and have it checked out. Hope its nothing nasty.

Thanks guys.
She's at the vets tonight, just thought I'd check on here and see if anyone knew - she is generally a very lumpy dog anyway bless her just little fatty cysts here and there that have come up over time.
Just want it checking out she isn't very happy about it :(

My old boy had something which looked very similar, I was advised to leave well alone initially but he then had to have surgery for an unrelated issue so the vet kindly whipped it off, it was a simple cyst and hasn't recurred. Hope it's the same for yours :)

My labrador had the same on her foreleg, we took her to the vets worried about fatty lumps on her body and I wasn't overly concerned about this 'warty' thing, however they were fine with the fatty lumps but worried about this thing. She had biopsies taken and once looked at under the microscope they were still worried so sent off to the lab, luckily it was just a skin tumour that wasn't cancerous and we were told it should drop off within 3 months. My dog never touched it for 2 months then started licking it and 2 weeks later it dropped off. So it could be something simple but well worth getting the vet to see.

In short...the vet doesn't know either!! :D:p
Lol, she's certain its not suspicious and its not a tick either....her thoughts are just an age lump as she has plenty of those, bless her.
She's told us to liberally apply Fuciderm on it for a week and she goes back next Tuesday to have it checked again. (the vets argue over who's going to see Tara next, as with her its usually something completely off the wall and never seen before! :p)
