Ive got a section A pony on loan, until payed for (no dates on contract) the so called owner (complicated as she says the pony belongs to her and then she says it belongs to someone else) She wont give me the passport and I would like to get her microchipped for protection, plus I cannot insure her and just found out the vets want to see the passport when treatment is needed..Ive had the pony almost 6 years now and the so called owner hasnt been to see her once, not even in contact now as she got nasty and I told her to come get the pony but she never did. I cant afford to buy her right now.All my money goes on trims, hay ,grazing etc.
Any ideas????

Maybe try with a small offer of money for the pony? Why did you not have some sort of loan agreement at the outset? Cautionery tale to others perhaps?

By law the passport must be with the keeper of the pony.

Why won't she give you it? Can't you each sign a contract saying that the pony is only on loan and does not belong to you if that is the problem. Passports are not proof of ownership anyway.

I DO have a loan agreement but its basically just says ponies name, on loan till payed for.
Her name/address
my name address, signed by both then a wittness (her boyfriend). No dates as to when pony had to be payed for.

Shes never been to see the pony in the 5 (neally 6 years ) Ive had her.and was trying to say shed have me for theft (she bought the pony to me) all because I wouldnt send her the payment thru the post, Thats when I told her in a email Come get the pony. She NEVER did tho. (that was few years ago) Shes lied so many times (have emails as proof) saying the pony is hers, then its not hers, back and forth. She wont give me the passport. Then had the nerve to say Im breaking the law by not having the passport.
She asked for my phone number and it was on the bottom of an attached email.CAB sent me to a solicitor. But that doesnt solve the passport and vets, insurance.

Just dont know what to do. I do not have any contact with this woman. She was harrassing me. (was advised to block emails).
